A537 Road Marking Works

Following the completion of the surface dressing, the Cheshire East Highways team are pleased to let you know that the next stage of the scheme will be the renewal of the road markings on the A537 Chelford Road, between School Lane and the Congleton Road crossroads.

For everyone’s safety, a full road closure will be required while the works are being carried out.

The works are expected to take around three days, starting on 28 September 2026, between 9:30am and 4:00pm each day. We’ll do our best to complete the work as quickly as possible and minimise disruption to residents and road users.

The closure will need to remain in place during the works in line with health and safety requirements.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while these important works are completed.
