The Millennium Green is a beautiful green space near to the church, in the centre of the village. It is owned and actively managed by unpaid volunteers as a Registered Charity called Henbury Millennium Green Trust (HMGT) whose primary aim is to maintain the Green in its current form, in perpetuity, for the inhabitants of Henbury. The Green includes a children's play area, picnic area and a wildflower meadow. It has been planted with hundreds of trees, and is used for community events such as the Summer Fete and Bonfire, and by various groups including local schools and scout groups for outdoor activities and adventures. The Green is also home to a large, specially commissioned Millennium Sundial, which was aligned by the former Astronomer Royal.
Everybody is welcome to use the Millennium Green.
