We've received this notification from Cheshire East Highways about temporary traffic lights on the A537 near to Pale Farm
Do please read the helpful Briefing Note that Ian McLauchlan has provided for us.
Dear Henbury Online,
I write to inform you and provide early communication regarding the installation of temporary traffic lights on the westbound lane of Chelford Road opposite Pale Farm.
My briefing note attached provides some greater detail into the partial collapse suffered yesterday. We are accelerating a scheme to reinstate support to the highway, but in the mean time, the temporary traffic lights will remain to remove vehicle loading from the southern edge of the carriageway.
I will be establishing a webpage within the Cheshire East system to enable updates on progress to be directly communicated to those that need it. Signs will be erected to advise the reason for the traffic lights, as for the immediate time, there will be no visible activity until we mobilise for further surveys and investigations to facilitate a design solution.
I trust this assists and welcome any contact should you require. Please check on the Council web pages under Highways for the progress updates.
Regards,
Ian McLauchlan
