Well – thank you to all the residents who signed up for one of the Government's vouchers – we believe we have finally achieved the target for government funding of the entire scheme. (Subject to formal confirmation from Openreach).
It's not been entirely straightforward, but this means we are now on the way to getting a vastly improved broadband infrastructure for Henbury. Something we have all seen the need for in recent weeks.
That's the good news.
Unfortunately, we have now received a communication from Openreach that explains they are now re-prioritising all their work due to Covid 19, and there may be a delay in progressing our scheme. However (In another bit of good news) they have informed us that the voucher-funding we've obtained will be held secure in order to allow our scheme to go ahead as soon as their resources allow.
Watch this space.

"....We can assure you though, that if you are reliant on gigabit vouchers to fund your contribution to our partnership we can confirm that these will be secure. The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) have confirmed that the validity of these vouchers will be extended to cover any lost time and have recently suspended the clause in the voucher terms and conditions in relation to the 12 month validity date until further notice.
