Cheshire East Council Public Rights of Way has closed a section of footpath Henbury 7 from Whirley Road to where it meets with FP12 at the Moss Cottages because the oak tree very near the kissing gate part-way between those two points has shed a limb.
Also a further limb is down but still attached, has a large split in it, and is hazardous.
An alternative route is Macclesfield FP 23 Whirley Rd onto FP12 to the junction with FP7 and then south on FP7 into Henbury?
The landowner has been advised of the condition of the tree.
