A Call for Volunteers to Help Running B & F 2024
As well as being the main fundraiser for the Millennium Green, the bonfire and fireworks event has always been a community highlight , enjoyed by Henbury families of all ages, and many others too. We've missed a couple of years recently due to Covid and shortage of experienced people but we are determined to hold a Henbury Bonfire & Fireworks on the Green on Saturday November 2nd this year .
It may only be Spring but we need to start preparations early in order to confirm whether the event is able to go ahead this year. So firstly we need to recruit our team of volunteers.
To run the event on the night we will need approximately 20 people working across the following areas:
Event Manager – 1
Gate Staff – 7
Marshals – 8
Bonfire – 3
Fireworks – 4
A few volunteers are also required for set- up prior to the event and to tidy- up afterwards.
If you think you can help as a volunteer in any way at all to ensure there will be a Henbury B & F 2024 please contact Susan at susan.hmgt@outlook.com before April 7th (a week after Easter) or have a word with any of these Trustees.
We will then set up a meeting with you where we can share how the event has run in the past and what the different roles involve. Whilst previous experience is helpful, it is not necessary as there are experienced people who can show you the ropes.
