We've received this update from H A Civils, the contractors working on Broken Cross Junction

Dear Resident / Business,

As you may be aware we have been carrying out highway improvement works in your area on behalf of Belway Homes and are now nearing completion of the first of two road closures.

Access to Gawsworth Road will resume from the 9th of February.

From the 9th of February, the next phase will commence and road closures will be in place from the Broken Cross Junction up to No. 29 Fallibroome Road.

This will remain in place until 24th of February. During this period there will be 3-way temporary lights on Broken Cross, Chelford Road and Gawsworth Road. Diversions via A537, Prestbury Road and Priory Lane.

Marshals on Duty

Monday – Friday 07:00 – 17:00 : 4 Traffic/Pedestrian marshals on hand to assist with access/egress for residents. businesses and school students.

Monday – Friday 17:00 – 23:00 :2 Traffic marshals on hand to assist with access/egress for residents and businesses.

Saturday and Sunday – 07:00 – 23:00 : 2 Traffic marshals on hand to assist with access/egress for residents and businesses.

No Pedestrian Marshals at Evening and Week Ends

Access and egress will be maintained for residents and businesses, however, there may be times in which vehicles have to wait for safety purposes during our operations. Access for emergency vehicles will remain in place and will not have any restrictions.
