Message from residents of Broome Cottage on Dark Lane
We understand that there may be some concerns that the water that runs across and down Dark Lane from our boundary might be as the result of a leak from our septic tank. We just wanted to reassure folks in Henbury and who use the lane that this is not the case. The water is coming from the old well that is on our boundary, and now beneath the Holly hedge. The water running off is just reflective of the current height of the water table.
We plan to investigate options for addressing the issue. Who knows, maybe we could have a functioning well on Dark Lane again.
