TEMPORARY 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION NOTICE

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(2)

Notice is hereby given that Cheshire East Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, will temporarily restrict vehicles over 7.5 tonnes from using the road detailed below.

Affected Road

Chelford Road, Henbury/Gawsworth  From the junction with Church Lane to the junction with Whirley Road

Diversion Route

A signed diversion will be in place

Reason for Restriction

This temporary weight limit is being introduced for safety reasons during essential works.

Duration
Start Date: 24 April 2026
End Date: 24 May 2026
The restriction will be in force for up to 21 days, or less if works are completed sooner.
If necessary, the restriction may be extended for a further 21 days.
