Road closure Dark Lane scheduled 30th April

A temporary road closure will be in place on Dark Lane, Gawsworth Ward (SK11 9QZ), covering the stretch from the junction with Gawsworth Road to the junction with Pexhill Road.

To help keep traffic moving, an alternative route will be signposted via Pexhill Road and Gawsworth Road.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will remain open throughout the works. Emergency vehicles and residents will be granted vehicular access wherever it is safe and practical to do so.

The closure is required to allow STS Contractors UK Ltd to carry out essential works.

The works are scheduled for Thursday 30 April 2026, and the legal notice will remain in force for up to 5 days, although the road will reopen sooner if the works are completed ahead of schedule.
