Maintaining the Play Area on the Green
If you take your children to the Play Area on the Green you'll have seen that the wood chippings ( known as " Playbark" ) were getting worn away, particularly beneath the swing and slide. So to maintain the proper safety levels we have laid five cubic metres of new Playbark. You'll see from the photos there's a big improvement now.
The new Playbark cost well over £300, which is a significant proportion of the annual maintenance budget for the Green, and to keep costs down the Trustees applied it themselves. However we are most grateful to Henbury Parish Council which has offered a generous grant to cover much of that cost.
So keep bringing the children to enjoy the swing, slide and trim trail and whilst you're there why not pick some wildflowers , build a den or explore woodland.
