The team at St Thomas Church Henbury have written to tell us how proud they are of regular congregation member, 83 year old Harry Newton.
"We are extremely proud of what he has done, and continues to do, to raise money for charity. We wish him all the best in his attempt to run two marathons within a week on 3 and 10 October."
In order to raise vital funds for the Christie Cancer Unit in Macclesfield, Harry plans to run the London Marathon on Sunday October 3, and take part in the Great Manchester run the following Sunday.
