On Sunday June 23rd, starting at 09.30,we're going to do a few regular maintenance jobs on the Green so we do need a few volunteers ( Friends of the Green) to give us a hand please.
- Trimming back bracken and brambles etc. at the Gateway.
- Treating the gate and fence with a brush -on wood preserver.
- And if we have enough volunteers, perhaps weaving the willow on the dome near the sundial or footpath edging.
But especially we would like to ask a number of "Friends" to take on a task of periodically inspecting a part of the Green and feeding the results back to the Trustees who can use this to plan maintenance and improvement work and projects.
If this is something you would like to do for the Green we will be delighted to have a chat with you on the Green on June 23rd ---- or at any other time of course!
