#Collecting Wood For the Bonfire Saturday October 12th

It's that time of the year again when we need to thin and coppice the woodland on the Millennium Green to keep it in good health and at the same time provide enough wood for the Annual Bonfire and Firework Display that has become such an essential part of the Henbury calendar.

We'll be working on the Green between 10 and 12.30 on Saturday October 12th when the main task will be to drag branches from the cutting site to the bonfire site.

It's not too difficult and lots of fun when there are plenty of us to help!

Do bring your kids along too as it's really nice for them to feel that they did their bit in building the fire when they enjoy it on Bonfire Night (but do please remember that you'll need to supervise them yourself! )

So if you could spare some time to help we'd be very grateful. Just turn up , or if you can, give Roger Cousin a call on 01625 610059.

It will probably be a bit muddy underfoot so it's a good idea to wear stout footwear and old togs and a pair of gardening gloves will help to protect your hands.

Thanks in advance and we look forward to seeing you on the 12th.
