Do you or your children (or grandchildren) use Henbury Millennium Green?
Do you come to the Bonfire or the Summer Fete?
If so, have you ever thought about how our beautiful Henbury Millennium Green is kept all shipshape? Do you wonder who is responsible for it, and for the events that are run there?
The answer is – the land is owned outright by a charity (Registered Charity No. 1072953). And the Charity is managed by a small team of volunteer Trustees several of whom are getting on a bit!.
So the time has come for them to ask for some help.
Would you like to give something back to your community? Now is your chance!
The trustees are looking for people who would be prepared to come along, get involved and start working alongside the trustees to learn some of the skills needed to maintain the Green. If you enjoy it, there could be the opportunity to become a trustee yourself.
The team are a friendly group who would welcome any support you can give. There's a wide variety of tasks and skills involved, and there will be the chance to learn new skills, work as part of the team and know that you are supporting a natural greenspace for the benefit of future generations.
You will get experience in land management and running a small charity.

The future of the Green could be at risk without some more support from the community. In this time of new developments in the fields around us, you can make a real difference by supporting Henbury's very own greenspace.
