When we published a recent article about the auction of a piece of land in the Green Belt, adjacent Chelford Road and Henbury Rise a number of Henbury residents expressed concerns about the possibility of it being used for housing development in future.
We can now reveal the the land was sold at the auction for £125,000, plus buyers premium, which is thought to be somewhat higher than typical current prices for agricultural land on this area. The identity of the purchaser is unknown at this time but Henbury Parish Council are making further enquiries and we'll keep you posted when more information is available.
