RYA Club of the Year 2016
Did you know that the parish of Henbury has a sailing club?
Well, to be strictly accurate, the clubhouse, grounds, foreshore and jetties are in Henbury, but most of the water (Redesmere) is actually in Siddington.
Earlier this year the club won the prestigious Royal Yachting Association 'Club of the Year' award. This award is given by sailing's national governing body in recognition of how well clubs promote the sport of sailing, encourage people on to the water and make their activities varied and available to the community.
