The Polling Station is open in Henbury for the local Council elections in Cheshire East. Residents of the Gawsworth ward have two candidates to choose from. The polling station is located in the Church hall and is open until 10pm tonight. You do not need your polling card to vote but you must be registered at that location.

Concerns have been raised about the removal of Whirley Road and Birtles Road from the winter gritting routes. When the decision was revealed at an Area Highways Group recently, Whirley Councillor James Barber spoke out against it, and was told it was a "done deal".
