Having the right information at the right time can make all the difference when you're looking after someone.
Every day 6,000 people become carers but often it's not something we've planned for. This Carers Rights Day is focused on supporting people to prepare for the future through the theme: Caring for Your Future.
Cheshire East Carers' Hub are holding an information event for Carers' Rights Day at the United Reformed Church Hall (Townley Street), Park Green, Macclesfield. SK11 7NA from 10.00 am until 12.30 pm.
Join them for a coffee and chat, meet other carers and lots of organisations who can help you in your caring role. There will be a presentation around accessing benefits by Cheshire Independent Agents at 11.00 am and One You Cheshire East will be providing free blood pressure checks for Carers. There will also be a therapist offering relaxing hand massages. There's no need to book, just come along on the day.
Community & Voluntary Services Cheshire East (CVS) are currently running their Christmas Toy Appeal again this season.
The appeal is run in aid of Cheshire East families and children that face difficult and challenging circumstances over the festive season, who may not get the chance to enjoy the magical and joyful experience all children should have at Christmas in receiving presents from Santa.
'A number of the children have chaotic home lives with domestic violence and substance misuse a regular occurrence.'
'Families whose loved ones are here at the hospice for end of life care.'
'Children and young people who care for a member of their family at home, many come from families who are financially disadvantaged.'
