Children of Henbury – Would you like to plant some fruit trees on the Green ?

Then you'll be able to enjoy picking and eating the fruit from them in the autumn every year as you grow up!

Henbury Parish Council has got a grant from the Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner Orchard Scheme and matched it to buy 11 new apple, pear , plum and gage trees to be planted on the Millennium Green and we're going to do that on Sunday afternoon February 13th.

We'd love it if you Henbury children could come and help us with the planting, then every time you visit the Green in the future you'll be able to see how "your tree" is growing and you'll be free to pick the fruit --- but you'll have to keep checking because other visitors to the Green will also be able to pick from fruit trees there!

So that's Sunday February 13th on the Green at 2pm with Mum, Dad or another adult and, if possible , a spade you like to use as well as a pair of gardening gloves.

We look forward to seeing you then !
