St Thomas Church Hall has recently undergone a major re-furbishment. Built in 1980, and enlarged in 1989, the building had become "tired" and in need of a facelift. The works have cost in excess of £30,000 and have been welcomed by all hall-users.
Funded in part by a grant from the Diocese of Chester following the sale of the Vicarage, the works have included:
- New safety floor-coverings
- New toilet-fittings and partitions
- New vanity units
- Re-decoration
- New window and stage curtains
- Wheelchair-accessible disabled toilet with baby-changing facilities
New wall-lights are soon to be installed in the hall, along with new folding doors to the chair-store.
In addition the hall has also had wifi installed, and has a recently re-furbished kitchen with dishwasher.
