News has come today that Arriva plan to withdraw the 130 bus from service from 26th January. Clearly that would be a major loss to this area.
However, a spokesperson for Transport Service Solutions has told us that discussions are taking place with other commercial operators to see if an alternative can be found. We understand there may be more news on this next week.
Transport Service Solutions is a company owned and controlled by Cheshire East, who manage the public transport network on behalf of Cheshire East. They work closely with all operators in the area. They are very aware of the importance of this service for Macclesfield, the hospital and the surrounding areas.
