One of our local residents has spotted an unusual sight recently......

"I was delighted to see a beautiful barn owl twice in the last week. It was hunting in the field behind my house at the top of Henbury Rise. What a lovely sight! The first time was as daylight was breaking, and the second was just before darkness fell. I have been watching an owl in the field for many years now and although it can't possibly be the same one, I always call it Ollie! Very original! "

This beautiful 11 month old dog has been missing from Dark Lane Henbury since Thursday around 5pm. She's wearing a red nylon collar. The owner believes she may have been hit by a car near the church yesterday evening, and has run off. He has searched the car park, graveyard, Millennium Green & farmland etc and can't find anything. She could be hidden in undergrowth or could have been...
